Forecast is about the process of discovering one’s inner light—the quiet introspection and attention to suffering and healing that opens one’s heart and nurtures intuition.

I am a cloud within clouds—representing confusion, lack of clarity, and lost sense of self. The swirling symbols are traditional meteorological symbols once used in communication to identify and predict the weather. They represent the desire to know what will happen.

As I pull a cloud from my chest, not only is my inner light released to shine, but I am surprised to see that the cloud from my heart is not raining down, but up! Bubbly droplets and their streaks climb upward toward the unknown.  

In Focusing, we select a bodily felt sense that is initially clouded and unclear. Then we sit with it with curiosity and creative openness to see what insight and new awareness it has to offer.

Forecast was created in Adobe Photoshop, where I combined traditional meteorological weather symbols with original photos of clouds, sun, my silhouette, and watercolor painting.
